The majority of forward-looking Spaniards that don't speak English are learning it. This creates a big demand for language courses that makes English teaching the most common way that native English speakers make ends meet in Spain.

Same people grab the bull by the horns and set a language academy, some find a language academy to work for whilst others take on private classes.

There are teachers that swear by the teaching qualifications and no doubt they will give you confidence and help you get work with academies. Teachers without qualifications will normally find more work with private classes which normally pay more but are more precarious.
