FERRIES

The north of Spain is well served by ferries from the south coast of England. Three companies operate the lines; Brittany Ferries, P&O Ferries and AT Ferries. The links available are between Portsmouth and Bilbao and Plymouth and Santander. There are between two to three crossings per week on each line with a more frequent service in the summer.

These links certainly can't be described as high-speed crossings with times ranging between 19 and 29 hours. However, the ferry companies provide on-board entertainment and a good choice of restaurants to help you while away the hours.
